The Pohjoisen arktiset maut – Northern Arctic Flavours seminar is arranged by the Bothnia à la carte project, a joint effort by ProAgria Oulu and the Rural Women’s Advisory Organisation in Oulu, in cooperation with local partners.

The aims of the Bothnia à la carte project are to:
• increase cooperation between companies in Northern Ostrobothnia specialising in fields such as tourism, arts and crafts and local foods; developing associated services and activities
• identify and highlight local and regional food tradition and artistic and cultural skills
• increase interaction between rural and urban enterprises
• improve vitality and attractiveness of rural areas.

The platform for cooperation is the Bothnia à la carte network, supporting the development of products and services associated with food tourism in the region. In addition to local cooperation, the network participates in national networking activities and gathers information on international cooperation models.

The Pohjoisen arktiset maut – Northern Arctic Flavours seminar is arranged by the Bothnia à la carte project in autumn 2014 in cooperation with other partners.

Bothnia à la carte is part of the project MASVA Pohjois-Pohjanmaa 2012–2014 – Elinvoimaa ja menestystä maaseudulle (Customer managers in Northern Ostrobothnia 2012–2014 – Vitality and success in rural areas).

The project is managed by ProAgria Oulu and its sub-organisation, the Rural Women’s Advisory Organisation in Oulu. The project is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and supported by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Northern Ostrobothnia.
